About Us
Our family business was founded by my grandfather, Barnet "BG" Saslow on Elm Street in downtown Greensboro in 1922. In 1948, after serving in World War II his son (my father) Everett came to work for him. After two years with the company Everett left to serve in the Korean War and when he returned in 1953 he and my grandfather opened numerous stores across North Carolina. I joined the family business in 1985 and worked under my father's leadership until his death in 2013.
In the late 1990's, we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to acquire the prestigious Henebry's Jewelers group, a venerable chain of fine jewelry stores with a proud reputation for quality and service that have been in business in Virginia since the year 1900. They have been an important part of the Saslow's family of fine jewelers ever since.
For more than a century we have built our reputation by combining extraordinary values in quality jewelry at reasonable prices with convenient credit terms, unequaled personal attention, and world class service. By sourcing our diamonds and jewelry in quantity and direct from sources in India, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Belgium, we are able to pass exceptional values along to you, our customer.
.
With 14 locations across North Carolina and Virginia, Saslow's & Henebry's Diamond Jewelers have grown to become one of the largest family-owned jewelry chains in the southeastern U.S. and we are committed to your satisfaction.
At Saslow's & Henebry's Diamond Jewelers our mission has been to help our guests celebrate the most important occasions that life has to offer. For over three generations it's been our privilege to help families in North Carolina and Virginia with lasting gifts of special meaning.
When my grandfather opened that first store on Elm Street way back in 1922, he treated every customer like a member of the family. In all these years, we're proud to say that's never changed. It's my name over the door, so when you shop with us, “it’s personal.”
John B. Saslow, President
