Your Responsibility
Care for your jewelry and purchase and perform all recommended repairs in accordance with your bi-annual inspections as required by your Peace Of Mind Extended Service and Repair Plan. This is required to maintain the valuable benefits of this service plan as well as diamond and gemstone replacement benefits.
1. What is covered.
In consideration of payment of the Plan fee, Jeweler will furnish labor and materials necessary to maintain the merchandise referenced by the sales invoice, in a usable and wearable condition, provided such service is normal merchandise wear and to the extent that any and all provisions of underlying warranties and guarantees have been properly met. The terms of this Plan shall commence on the date of the sales invoice and continue for the term stated on the plan.
All maintenance/repairs shall be completed by issuing Jeweler, or by a repair center of issuing Jeweler's choice. Nothing herein shall obligate issuing Jeweler to repair or replace materials resulting from excessive or abusive treatment of the merchandise other than normal wear and tear. This plan applies only to the use of this merchandise under conditions for which it was designed and does not cover loss or damage resulting from fire, flooding, sand, dirt, windstorm, hail, lightning, earthquake, theft, misuse, abuse or Acts of God. Customer must and shall perform all maintenance required by certain underlying warranties to maintain the merchandise in such usable and wearable conditions provided in said warranties. Loss or damage resulting from failure to comply with recommended services and/or maintenance under such warranties and/or guarantees is not covered by this Plan. In no event shall Jeweler be liable for consequential damages or delays in rendering service under this plan, or loss of use during the period that the merchandise is being repaired or otherwise awaiting parts. Parts may be replaced with others of like kind and quality. This Plan does not include replacement of ring shank due to loss of gold. LIMIT OF LIABILITY: Our total liability under this plan is the Purchase Price paid for the Merchandise as shown on the sales invoice. In the event that the total value of all authorized services We provide under the Plan exceeds the Purchase Price of the Merchandise as shown on your sales slip, We shall have satisfied all obligationsowed under the Plan.
2. How to use your Plan
Simply take the protected item, along with your plan certificate and your original sales receipt to Saslow’s & Henebry’s Jewelers or any Leading Jewelers Guild jeweler. If this is inconvenient, please contact Saslow’s & Henebry’s Jewelers for instructions on where and how to send the jewelry. It is the customer's responsibility to prepay postage/freight charges and insure the jewelry for its full value. 3. If the protected merchandise does not allow for repair, the merchandise is eligible for a 1-time replacement equal to an amount up to the original purchase price.
Once the replacement has been made, the existing warranty is cancelled and cannot be transferred to the new merchandise. This plan does not cover loss or breakage of diamonds or gemstones but the 6 month inspection record included on the service plan is valid to maintain loss protection which may be offered under a separate program for replacement of diamonds, genuine rubies, and genuine sapphires.
4. This Plan is for the benefit of the original customer or receiver of merchandise, in case of gift and is non-transferable.
5. Plan fee is non-refundable.
6. This instrument sets forth the entire agreement between the parties and no representations, promise or condition not contained herein shall modify these terms. This plan does not cover items that need to be completely refurbished due to excessive abuse.
THIS PLAN DOES NOT REPLACE NORMAL CASUALTY INSURANCE COVERAGE. ASK YOUR INSURANCE AGENT FOR DETAILS ON COVERING YOU FINE JEWELRY PURCHASE.
Gemstone Disclosures: Many natural/genuine gemstones are processed and/or enhanced from the time they are extracted from the earth by one or more traditionally accepted jewelry industry practices. All natural/genuine gemstones sold in our stores have probably been subjected to a stable and possibly undetectable enhancement process. All relevant information will be readily provided to the best of our knowledge. Prevailing market values are based on these accepted processes by the gem and jewelry trade. Created gemstones have the same chemical and mineral characteristics as their natural counterparts, the difference is that they have been created in the laboratory. Cultured pearls may have been bleached and/or dyed to achieve their color. All relevant information will be readily provided to the best of our knowledge.
5 YEAR SERVICE PLAN CAN BE RENEWED EVERY FIVE YEARS AS LONG AS ITEM IS IN GOOD CONDITION! Just pay for the price of the POM plan again.
